Meet Jeffrey, your chaplain.

Welcome! I’m Jeffrey Lancaster, a community chaplain. For 37 years, I’ve been supporting people from diverse backgrounds and experiences as they navigate life’s challenges and opportunities. As an ordained Presbyterian minister, I’ve worked with young professionals, students, and families in urban centers, universities, small towns, inner cities, and even prisons. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to help you reach your goals and give you the tools you need to engage your life in meaningful and joyful ways. I know that everyone benefits from having someone in their corner to listen, offer counsel, and help them grow.

I live in Wrigleyville with my wife, Cathy. Cathy owns and operates Cathy Lancaster Gallery in Wrigleyville (Her website: https://cathylancaster.com Her instagram @cathylancastergallery). We are proud parents to three grown children and two daughters-in-law, and our dog, Mollie. We love to hit up jazz clubs, attend concerts, tour the Art Institute, catch Cubs’ games, cook for friends in our home, and explore all Chicago has to offer.

My education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. I am honored to serve under the oversight of the Rivers & Lakes Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (That’s the historic use of the term “Evangelical” not the current politically hijacked use of the term) and am an officially endorsed chaplain. Along the way, I’ve participated in the planting of three vibrant churches in Oxford, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Memphis, Tennessee. I have a goal to plant a church in Chicago also. I hope to bring all of my accumulated experience as a work/life community chaplain, faith background, and education together to help you thrive.
